Civilian Supremacy Need for broader public security
Izumi Wakugawa

The current discussion and political activism on the civilian supremacy proceeds interestingly: developing from politics to the street, the magnitude of energy and activism on the subject remains remarkable.

The Asian Studies Center for Peace and Conflict Transformation is an independent Nepali Think Tank committed to providing in depth analysis and training on Nepal’s conflict, peace process, and state of security. ASPECT conducts research that draws from the reality of people’s experiences and supports conflict transformation on a grassroots and national level by providing training to anyone who is interested. ASPECT is committed to building peace in Nepal by using our research to develop new theoretical framework that reflects Nepal’s experience with conflict, which may help create a lasting and sustainable peace in Nepal and the rest of South Asia.

ASPECT is also the secretariat for two networks, the South Asian Regional Cooperation Academic Network (SARCAN) and the Nepal Security Sector Network (NSSN).
