| Aspect- who we are |
| |
ASPECT was founded in 2006 with the idea that local knowledge and experience contain the complete potential to transform violent conflict locally. However, ASPECT also understands that the expertise and knowledge of local groups, individuals, and organizations is underutilized for various reasons. ASPECT seeks to bridge the gap between conflict transformation and on the ground experience through acting as advocates for peace, while at the same time using local’s invaluable experiences to generate new conflict theory that bridges the gap between reality and academia.
ASPECT accomplishes this objective by remaining non-partisan in a highly politicized Nepali society. ASPECT also combines the best of International analytical expertise with local Nepali knowledge. ASPECT is overseen by a renowned board of international supervisors and serves as a Nepali think tank dedicated to creating lasting peace in Nepal. |
