Since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord between the seven major political parties and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) following the success of the People’s Movement II, Nepal has been struggling to balance between the old traditions and emerging ideologies. The old traditions, including national characteristics, long-established customs and practices, and people’s mindsets are so deep-rooted that new ideas can hardly influence them.
